The beautiful Goms valley, situated at the highest point of the Valais area is a true paradise for walkers with its 700 km of well-marked trails, ranging from mountain and glacier hikes to gentle strolls in the valley. This unspoiled valley is very much the quiet side of Switzerland, and the ancient villages really are a contrast to some of the more bustling tourist resorts.  Stroll through the romantic villages along the valley floor and some days along the mighty glaciers following the highland route.   Enjoy some great hotels in a valley still relatively unexplored, yet rich in variety and very typically Swiss!

Some highlights of your trip will be visiting the Rhone,  Fiesch and Aletsch glaciers.  You will visit the Villa Cassel, where Winston Churchill used to spend his summers.    This is a moderate walking tour along rivers or mountain ridges, with an excellent train and cable car system allowing you make your walks longer or shorter as the spirit moves you.     An optional visit to Zermatt is available.

You will be staying in 3 and 4 star hotels, in charming villages, breakfast and dinners included, with five days of guided walking.
